The Intuitive Feather

I found a lucky blue feather. It was pointy and soft, and I wore it in my hair. I let the feather lead me and tell me what to do. I made decisions based on how my feather was leaning in the wind. I followed my feather and it never let me down. I was walking through the forest trails, and I found another feather. This one was a gorgeous green isosceles triangle. I added this new, perfect feather to my hair. At that moment, I could feel myself torn into two directions. I was no longer light and carefree. I was heavy and burdened and didn’t know what to do. I wanted to continue skipping towards the water, but the green feather assured me that it was going to rain. The blue feather reminded me of how much I loved dancing in puddles, but the green feather told me that I would ruin my new shoes. I tip-toed a little further along the path and listened to the feathers fighting in my hair. I was allured by the perfect green but attached to my flowy blue. I pulled the green feather out of my hair and tossed it away in the wind. I danced in the rain with the blue feather in my hair ruining my new shoes and I couldn’t have been happier.

The Blue Cave

I followed the orange path by the blue lake. I was enchanted by the shiny orange sparkles that glimmered in the distance. I wanted those mandarin diamonds. It was getting hot on the orange path, and my feet were starting to burn. I was tempted to dip my toes in the lake to cool down, so I started to step off the orange trail. But I couldn’t. It was like the orange path was sucking me in, and I couldn’t move away from the colored runway. I tried harder and harder to pull away. And the harder I tried, the angrier the orange path became. I could feel the ground getting hotter and the orange color turning darker. My feet started to sink into the burnt orange sand. I screamed and pulled, desperately wanting to dive into blue lake next to me. The orange path enveloped me and I was thrust down an orange slide into the depths of the blue cave. I started following a blue path now suddenly enchanted by millions of shiny blue sparkles that twinkled in the dark.

The Blueberry Island

I built my own island out of blueberry jello in the middle of the beach. The island was surrounded by white sand. I created a moat and built a barricade of seashells to protect it from the waves. I constructed a large canopy over the blueberry castle to shield it from the sun. I insulated the wiggly walls with grape jam for extra cushioning against the wind. I designed layers of protection to preserve my new piece of property. Everything was fine until a small dog came along and smelled the blueberry bliss of my jello town. Before I could wrap my arms around the fruit-flavored kingdom, the island was devoured.
